It is vital for all members of our community that we have a fair and just legal system. Fair for all, not just the dominant members. It is only them that we can live in peace with ourselves and the world community. We invaders have destroyed the land of Australia. We have consumed natures bounty and even when science has shown ways of reducing the destruction - the loss of biodiversity, the pollution of our water ways, the extreme weather conditions that will so badly impact on the coastal cities. We have been allowed, even encouraged by government to consume beyond what is necessary and beyond what is sensible. All those cheap, single use bits of plastic from China will be part of the destruction of our.
environment. The lack of intelligent and fair care of our indigenous citizens, the pollution of our biome, the rush to the recent USA wars has made our country an object of disgust in the global community. We have squandered our good name and this will come back to bite us. The very first task in righting these wrongs will be to listen carefully to those that know the problems first hand, our indigenous communities. Malcolm Fraser asked for information but did not listen to the carefully considered plan. The only hope for a good future for my children and grandchildren is to give those who know a voice in parliament. We will all benefit. Wishing you peace, RoseGriffith.
