I am extremely excited to hear that on the 30 October 2019, the Minister for Indigenous Australians, the Hon Ken Wyatt AM MP, announced the start of the Indigenous Voice co-design process. An opportunity you are taking with both hands, that I would like to honour and walk alongside you in the sharing of this journey.
I believe it is important to provide a shared space for people to collaborate, bring ideas or problems to government and for the government to listen to these views/ voices to test and evaluate policy. This collaborative process and shared decision making will create a more just and inclusive future, with all Australian’s working together for a better shared future in the spirit of reconciliation.
I believe its important to have a voice and speak up on matters that are important to the rights of first nations people in Australia. I believe in their rights to self determination – to speak up and have a voice that will be not only recognised, but valued and honoured and respected in a collaborative process for a better more inclusive Australia.
I share the views outlined in the indigenous voice co-design interim report, October 2020 (and the from the Heart Submission No.1 January 2021 to the Australian Government) and I look forward to sharing, contributing to and being apart journey moving forward.

Yours Sincerely(redacted)
