To whom it may concern,

Recognising a First Nations Voice in the constitution needs to be the decision of the Australian people. This was promised at the last election but has yet to be achieved. The enshrinement of a voice in the constitution ensures all Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander voices are heard and protected from the volatility and unpredictability of politics. The Australian people are ready to endorse such a change, a change greatly owed to our First Nations people.
I request the following;

1. I request the government to honour its election commitment to a referendum once a model for the Voice has been settled.

2. I ask for legislation for the Voice to be passed after a referendum has been held in the next term of parliament.

3. The national Voice member model must be a model that ensures all Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander grassroots voices are heard.

I appreciate the opportunity to express concerns and greatly hope for a First Nations voice that is severely overdue.
