I support the establishment of a "Voice" for Indigenous Australians., including a Local and Regional Voice and a National one. For far too long indigenous voices have been silenced and they have had no or little say in the various laws policies and services that have severely impacted on the lives, their lively hood and their social, cultural and spiritual well being. Their treatment by many white Australians has been shameful. It is high time that Indigenous Australians have a say in the laws that affect their lives and well being. I sincerely hope that this "Voice" will lead to constitutional recognition of Indigenous Peoples and their over 60,000 years of continual habitation of this continent, with a referendum on this matter if necessary.

 

 

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the Elders past, present and emerging.
