I feel very strongly that all first Nation People should have a representative Voice in Parliament. We owe this to our peace-loving indigenous people. We took their lives and stole their future, now let us give back with respect for them. Over my life I have seen a great change in attitude to aborigines. I was taught that they were dying out and that we should assimilate the rest so that we are all one colour.
I notice our young ones speak with far greater respect and better understanding of the situation. If we don't act on this matter in time these young ones will.
The first nation should have the major voice in designing the voice in parliament Isn't that more then obvious? Power in the hands of some of our leaders is the prop they are unwilling to lessen in any way. Have courage. Act now and let our fair country flourish as this black hole in our psyche is our greatest drawback.
