To whom it may concern

We write in full support of the From the Heart submission to the Australian Government: Indigenous Voice Co-Design Process.

We believe there are three main issues that must be addressed to ensure our First Nations people have fair and adequate representation in our governing bodies:

1. Our First Nations must have a Voice enshrined in our Constitution and this must not be a "third chamber"of Parliament as has been described.
2. A referendum must be sought to establish this Voice, and not otherwise legislated before a referendum is held - our First Nations deserve the best change of stable, permanent representation in our governing bodies that cannot be undermined by the body politic.
3. Representation must ensure the unheard Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are given equal access to selection, as established people, and representatives must be given capacity to directly influence and develop policy and legislation that impacts on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Please assist in the reconciling and healing of our Nation. Acknowledge our wrongs, and set in place once and for all a voice and a process to make Australia a better place with a better heart. Embrace our history and all of our culture.

In solidarity
