I only heard of this now and am submitting in support of the calls in the Uluru Statement for a voice into Parliament. This is critical to give a voice that can be listened to, debated, disagreed with, but importantly, in dialogue better outcomes and accountability will emerge. As an urban and regional planner, its all about how 'country' is used or shall I say, used in ways that accord with our aboriginal sisters and brothers. Much work to do together, but a voice, as well as treaty, and makaratta commission, and truth telling about the bad stuff of the past, are all essential so 'we' can 'together' be on this fine country

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the Elders past, present and emerging.
