Constitutional recognition and structural reform is long overdue. The ownership and sovereignty of the land was never ceded and extinguished and needs to be acknowledged. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people must be able to (constitutionally and structurally) take back power over their own destiny and empowered to take their rightful place as first peoples. Self determination is key. It is time to do what is fair and right, it is time to be honest and tell the truth about the past, it is time to move forward.

 

 

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the Elders past, present and emerging.
