A Voice to Parliament must be enshrined in the Australian Constitution because it is a fair and practical reform that will have a real impact on the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. How fortunate are we that the First Nations people have given us a Statement from the Heart! We can but honour it - no half measures, no more patronising 'we know what's best for you'. Parliament needs to hear the Voice; we all do. Until we do, we cannot hope to start to form a nation. Real leadership is needed to carry the required referendum and set us on the path to justice and healing.
