I am and I grew up in America and immigrated to Australia in 2007 and married an Australian. I work at the University of Newcastle. I am the mother of two beautiful Australian children aged 6 and 2.

Why do you think the Uluru Statement from the Heart is important?
I think the Uluru Statement from the Heart is important because it calls for Indigenous representation in the Australian Constitution.

Why is it important for Indigenous people to have a say in the matters that affect them?
First Nations voices need a say so that true reconciliation can happen, so we can move forward into the future.

How could a Voice to Parliament improve the lives of your community?
It would make a more peaceful and prosperous future for everyone.

Why do you think it's important to enshrine the Voice to Parliament in the Constitution, rather than include it only in legislation?
I want a better future for my children. I want them to be proud of how Australia respects its Indigenous people. Things need to change to make a better world for them.
