I strongly support a Voice to Parliament. I completely acknowledge that our First Nations people should be able to contribute their thoughts and ideas especially for the issues that directly impact them - that is a no-brainer, that is democracy in action.
A referendum is essential, and must be the first step. Then, the Voice must be legislated - this has been recognized, and I agree, is the best chance for a constitutional change.
Finally, a Local Voice is equally, if not more, important than a National Voice - lived experience on the ground needs to be heard.
