After 200+ years of government by non-indigenous people, we have mostly learnt that we damage people, cultures and country. An indigenous voice to parliament - enshrined in the consitituion (not left to the political whims of each government), would be an affirming step to developing policies and programs that would support indigenous people, ancient cultures and help us all care for country. The model for membership of the Vloice to parliament needs to include representation of the many different and distinct indiegenous groups, each with their own culture, customs, language and laws. A flourishing ancient culture depends on it.
